The Ontario Maple Syrup Producers’ Association hosts the Ontario Maple Weekend the first weekend in April every year, and the Fall in Love with Maple Festival during the last weekend of September and the first weekend of October. All OMSPA members are invited to participate in these annual events. Maple Weekend started in 2015 and has quickly spread province wide. Fall in Love with Maple started in the fall of 2021 after COVID forced the cancellation of Maple Weekend for a second time and producers needed another festival to reach their customers. Both are a collective effort of the Ontario Maple Syrup Producers’ Association and our members to provide individual producers with increased market presence and to promote the sale of locally produced Ontario maple syrup products.

 

Maple Weekend is a great opportunity for consumers to get up close to a local maple syrup producer and see first-hand how maple syrup is made. Participating producers can be found across the province, and producers will be opening their doors, to give consumers an opportunity to learn more about the craft of maple sugar making. Producers are expected to provide visitors with an opportunity to learn more about the traditions of maple sugaring and an opportunity to taste why pure Ontario maple syrup has long been a favourite springtime treat.

 

Fall in Love with Maple offers consumers a chance to enjoy many of the springtime activities of Maple Weekend with the added bonus of the fall colours.

 

Producers will be offering a range of activities such as samples of fresh syrup, as well as maple candies and confections. Each producer has a unique list of activities and experiences in store for you.
