Carbon Footprint in Maple Operations

The IMSI is pleased to launch its Carbon Footprint in Maple Operations questionnaire. This survey aims to gather anonymized data on 2025 energy use in maple production to help estimate the carbon footprint of maple syrup production across the sector.

How your data will be used

All responses will be aggregated and analyzed by the IMSI for research and reporting purposes. No individual data will be shared publicly or linked to any identifiable producer.

What to include

Please provide only information related to sap collection, processing, and forest management. 

Please exclude any data related to restaurant, tourism, or other non-production activities.

The survey is now live and will remain open through January. Your participation is greatly appreciated and will support a more accurate understanding of maple’s environmental footprint.
