Looking for away to up your management game?
The University of Guelph's Foundations in Agricultural Management guides learners in how to implement effective business planning processes, leverage financial tools, motivate staff, manage farm transition and so much more. It is designed to give producers the knowledge and confidence to take their farm business to the next level.
The course is free, and will be offered four times per year over the next 2 years in the winter, spring, summer and fall. Registration opens on Monday, January 17th. To register go to www.guelphagriculturalmanagement.com.

Honestly, seeing this U of G course pop up is such a relief. I’ve been staring at my overheads for months trying to figure out if I’m actually making a profit or just moving money around, you know? The "Foundations in Agricultural Management" stuff hits home because, at least for me, the transition from being "the person who grows/does the work" to "the person who manages the business" is a massive headache.
