A Note from our President
Randal Goodfellow has spent his whole life working in different aspects of agriculture. As a young man he made maple syrup on the family farm in the Eastern Townships of Quebec. 10 years ago he could no longer resist the call of the maple bush and began production in our Lanark & District Local. He brings a career full of experience working in and with agribusiness, the forestry sector and government to his role as president.
Join the ever growing, dedicated and professional group of maple producers in Ontario. Our Association provides leadership, information and direction to an ever changing industry. Get connected with some of the best “sugar makers” anywhere and learn techniques and tips that will put you in a category ( over time to be sure!) of a master maple syrup producer.
OMSPA provides state of the art opportunities to hone your skills, from written information to informative workshops, and an opportunity to tour sugar bushes during our annual “Summer Tour” event held each July throughout the province. We advocate, lobby, inform decision makers, and influence government on issues that are important.
